In this role, the Solution Architect will participate in the scoping process and then transfer that knowledge to the Professional Services team. The Solution Architect will help shape our deployment playbooks while participating and developing best practices, packaged solutions, and standard libraries that instill efficiency and effectiveness within our deployments.\nResponsibilities:\nLeverage domain, product and customer expertise to architect solutions for deployment\nUnderstand customer requirements and how best to satisfy them through the product\nDeep understanding of business requirements to design a solution to meet customer needs\nEffectively look for opportunities to establish best practices, packaged solutions and standard libraries for efficient deployments\nPartner with Sales in the scoping process to align on solution design prior to implementation\nMentor project team members by educating them on best practices, unique customer use cases, and the creative ways that solutions will need to be architected\nGuide the project team through the deployment based on the customer solution\nServe as a trusted advisor to the customer and the project team to ensure the customer vision is realized and understood\nManage customer expectations and drive adoption of the solution through change management\nWork closely with Product and Engineering teams to productize proven packaged solutions\nWork with key stakeholders across multiple local and state governments as a thought leader\nArchitect scalable solutions to configuration challenges\nRequirements and Preferred Experience:\nMinimum of 5 years working within government to manage/deploy technology projects and/or working in government technology deploying in a SaaS environment preferred\nBachelor’s degree is preferred\nProven ability to understand and engage with the full deployment lifecycle including Sales, PS, and Support\nDeep government expertise to understand user requirements and use cases, including understanding the differences in terminology and regulatory contexts across jurisdictions\nExcellent customer facing skills with the ability to explain technical items to non-technical users\nPractical leadership and management skills to gain alignment on solutions\nProven history of leading key initiatives that drive change and ensure adoption\nAn excellent understanding of architectural principles of cloud-based platforms\nExtra strong creative problem solving and analytical thinking to solve complex problems\nExtra strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentations, writing, and visual communication through graphics\nAbility to lead customer facing sessions that result in a clear understanding of the requirements and how the solution will meet their requirements\nAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing product and respond strategically to customer needs\nExcellent cross functional communication skills to ensure alignment and execution\nOn target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance\n\nThe final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.\nWhat makes OpenGov unique\n\n» Leadership: CEO Zac Bookman (MPA from Harvard and JD from Yale) is truly a mission-driven CEO.
