Retail Assistant Manager

Job Description We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of our retail sales team.Responsibilities:Customer Service and Sales: recommending products based on our customers' unique situationsStaff Training: courteous and knowledgeable staffMerchandising: Store merchandise in correct spots. Team members properly rotate merchandise, down stock, front, face, dust, and price merchandise. Correct pricing procedures enforced to provide stores with uniform look. Coordinates with staff on proper merchandising of new items. Follow rotation (FIFO) and stacking procedures for different types of merchandisePaperwork and Emails: Daily agendas, task lists, updates, closing paperwork, emails, nightly deposits, etc. completed on time and accuratelyCustomer Transfers & Special Orders: Collecting, preparing, and documenting customer transfers.Property Maintenance: Coordinate regular building and equipment maintenanceCashiering Skills: Accurately selling items by scanning UPCs. Properly authenticating paper money and counting back changeCleanliness: Coordinates the cleaning of sales floor, offices, restrooms, and yardReceiving Merchandise: Utilizes company receiving practices and accurately receives merchandiseTechnical Skills: Cutting keys, rope, chain, welding cable, etc.Product Knowledge: Continued training on topics including clothing, power equipment, lawn & garden, pet/livestock, etc.​Qualifications:Previous experience in retail, customer service, or other related fieldsGood attendance and punctualityAbility to complete assigned tasksAbility to MultitaskPlanning skillsInterpersonal skillsCommunicationTeam coordinationProfessionalismAdherence to company policies and proceduresStrong leadership qualitiesCompany DescriptionFELDMANS FARM & HOME is a Kansas City-based and locally-owned family business founded in 1971.
