This role focuses on surface engineering and planning support for development drilling, hydraulic fracturing, flowback, and well tie-in activities to both temporary and permanent facilities while supporting simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) planning and optimization. The position is primarily based in Anchorage, Alaska, with periodic travel to the North Slope and other locations to support Willow WTI planning, pre-drill activities, and field execution beginning in Q1 2027.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nSupport development of the initial and subsequent 90-day field execution plans for Willow development drilling.\r\nEvaluate the technical and financial aspects of temporary and permanent surface facility scope supporting drilling and completions.\r\nSupport well tie-ins and temporary infrastructure including:\r\nFrac equipment\r\nFlowback equipment\r\nTemporary power\r\nPre-drill well data collection systems\r\nSupport the design and build-out of the Willow WTI well delivery organization.\r\nInterface regularly with Alaska Business Unit teams to ensure long-term drilling and well delivery success.\r\nIdentify execution risks and develop mitigation strategies.\r\nCapture lessons learned and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\r\nCollaborate across engineering, drilling, completions, facilities, and operations teams to successfully execute the 2027 drilling, frac, and flowback programs.\r\nBasic Requirements\r\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.\r\nBachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering.\r\nMinimum 3 years of North Slope facilities experience.\r\nStrong understanding of\r\nDrillsite operations\r\nHydraulic fracturing\r\nFlowback operations\r\nWell operations\r\nAbility and willingness to travel to the North Slope and other domestic locations.\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\r\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n10+ years of North Slope experience supporting drilling through production.\r\nStrong understanding of\r\nSurface facilities\r\nTemporary infrastructure\r\nWell tie-ins\r\nDrilling support systems\r\nExperience supporting\r\nDevelopment drilling\r\nHydraulic fracturing\r\nFlowback operations\r\nSIMOPS environments\r\nAbility to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholder groups.\r\nExperience developing practical, operable, and maintainable surface facility solutions.\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\r\nAbility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.\r\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.\r\nStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.\r\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\r\nIdeal Candidate Comments\r\nThe strongest candidates will combine North Slope facilities engineering experience with hands-on exposure to development drilling, frac support, flowback operations, temporary facilities, well tie-ins, and SIMOPS planning.
