Compile information from a variety of sources into written reports to assist in determining eligibility, educational need, and identification of programming needs using the district's template.\nCoordinate and/or participate as a member of the ARD committee. Ensure that all documents are completed and meetings are held within legal timelines.\nTranslate appraisal data into research-based, appropriate, and relevant speech and language programs.\nDevelop measurable IEP objectives and annual goals.\nPlan, prepare, and provide research-based therapy interventions according to each student's service schedule.\nProvide services in inclusive settings when appropriate and coordinate interventions with general education staff.\nMaintain meaningful and accurate data for each session for every student on the assigned caseload.\nProvide consultation to campus RTI teams.\nServe as a consultant to parents and staff regarding speech and language needs, as appropriate.\nParticipate in student staffing meetings as needed.\nParticipate in district in-services, parent training, and public awareness presentations related to communication needs.\nMaintain accurate and detailed records of evaluations, ARD meetings, and related documentation.\nComplete progress notes according to district timelines for every student on the assigned caseload using relevant data and objective reporting.\nMonitor student audit folders, including filling all required paperwork in a timely manner.\nSupervise licensed speech-language pathology assistants, Clinical Fellowship interns, students, and mentor speech-language pathologists as assigned.\nFollow billing and reimbursement procedures for Medicaid and complete required documentation such as time studies.\nComplete required district caseload studies, logs, and Childhood Outcome Summaries by designated due dates.\nAttend monthly speech-language pathologist meetings and all required district or campus meetings.\nUse technology to organize information, schedule meetings and staffings, maintain ARD documentation, and produce written materials.\nMaintain professional knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development.\nComplete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Instructional Officer or campus administrator.\nEquipment Used\nCopier, printer, computer, fax machine, assistive technology devices, and adaptive equipment\nWorking Conditions\nMaintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Use prescribed holding techniques when necessary. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities and assist non-ambulatory students. Exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
