This role focuses on productionizing machine learning models and integrating them into a proprietary application. You will transform experimental ML code into robust, scalable production systems while managing model onboarding, containerization, and job orchestration on HPC and Kubernetes environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Python/ML infrastructure engineer who enjoys bridging the gap between research prototypes and reliable production deployments in a fast-paced, innovative setting.Responsibilities:Transform prototype ML code and experimental scripts into modular, maintainable, and production-grade Python codeLead end-to-end onboarding and integration of new machine learning models into the BioNova applicationConfigure and manage execution of ML jobs on HPC (High-Performance Computing) clusters and Kubernetes (K8s) environmentsBuild and maintain containerized environments and automation scripts to streamline model updates and deploymentsCollaborate with data scientists, ML researchers, and platform engineers to ensure smooth transition from experimentation to productionDevelop and maintain shell scripts for job scheduling, automation, and system managementRequirements:Expert-level Python programming with a focus on writing clean, testable, modular, and scalable codeStrong hands-on experience with PyTorchProven ability to write Bash/Shell scripts for automation and job orchestrationHands-on experience with Docker containerizationSolid experience running and monitoring jobs on HPC environments (e.g., Slurm) or Kubernetes clustersStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environmentPrevious experience in biotechnology, life sciences, or scientific computing environmentsDesired:Familiarity with MLOps practices and toolsExperience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Kubeflow)Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldBest-In-Class-Benefits:We are in the people business; treating people right is our ONLY priority.
