Lumark has an exciting job opportunity for an IA/System Security Engineer to join our team in support of the U.S. Military onsite in Fairfax, VA – this is an IMMEDIATE OPENING on an ACTIVE CONTRACT .\r\nDuties\r\nPerforms network/environment monitoring, analysis and reporting in accordance with the provisions of DoD Directive 8570.01-M.\r\nExamines potential security violations, incidents, malicious activity and attacks to determine if policy has been breached, assesses the impact, and preserves artifacts.\r\nEnters and tracks events and incidents.\r\nSupports incident escalation and assesses probable damage, identifies damage control and remediation, and assists in developing courses of action.\r\nSupervises the installation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and administration of IA hardware and software systems.\r\nRecommends, schedules, and performs IA system repairs, systems administration, and maintenance.\r\nAnalyzes patterns of noncompliance or attacks and recommends appropriate actions to minimize security risks, vulnerabilities, and insider threat.\r\nConfigures, optimizes, and tests network devices.\r\nDiagnoses and resolves IA problems in response to reported incidents.\r\nEnhances rule sets to identify or block sources or potential sources of malicious traffic.\r\nImplements and monitors policies and procedures reflecting the legislative intent of applicable laws and regulations (i.e. NIST, CMMC).\r\nPrepares, distributes, and maintains plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operational procedures concerning Information security.\r\nParticipates in IA risk assessments during the C&A / ATO process.\r\nPrepares, reviews, and evaluates documentation of compliance.\r\nPrepares recommendations for the DAA.\r\nReviews IA and IA enabled AI/ML software, hardware, and firmware for compliance with appropriate security configuration guidelines, policies, and procedures.\r\nAuthorizes and reviews AI security plans.\r\nIdentifies alternative functional IA security strategies to address organizational security concerns.\r\nReviews security safeguards to determine that security concerns identified in approved policies, plans, and doctrines are fully addressed.\r\nDevelops and implements programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and follow IA policies and procedures.\r\nContributes to all activities and steps that form the software development life cycle and implementation process, including CI/CD/DEVSECOPS with an emphasis on design, implementation, pipelines, testing, and deployment.\r\nQualifications\r\nCurrently hold or have recently held at minimum a DoD SECRET Clearance.
