Editorial & Content Manager
Cherub is building the AI-powered relationship infrastructure for private capital, helping founders, investors, creators, and operators connect, raise, and build the future together. We sit at the intersection of startups, media, culture, and investing and are building the social network for the fundraising ecosystem.We are looking for an Editorial & Content Manager who is deeply online, culturally aware, and genuinely obsessed with the startup, venture, creator, and fundraising landscape. This is not a passive social media role. We want someone who understands what conversations matter, why they matter, and how to turn them into content that drives attention, engagement, and growth.You should have strong editorial instincts, know how to package ideas for social, and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.This is a hybrid role based in New York City. Mostly remote, but you'll be expected to be in person for events, shoots, and moments worth capturing as well as helping execute on creator-led content in person (~2x / week).What You’ll DoOwn and manage Cherub’s content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging channelsCreate and edit short-form video content, graphics, carousels, social copy, and founder/investor-facing contentBuild and manage the social content calendar across all channelsCapture and post real-time content from events, dinners, founder gatherings, and activationsTrack analytics and performance metrics across social and email to identify what’s working, what’s not, and adapt quicklyBuild, write, edit, and deploy weekly newsletters for founders and fundersSource relevant startup, fundraising, creator economy, and venture content/news for newsletters and social channelsDrive audience growth across social and newsletter subscribers through creative tactics, partnerships, and editorial strategyWork closely with our founder to create content featuring her, concept ideas, shoot and edit.Work closely with our Head of Partnerships and Community to ensure partner, sponsor, and client content is executed and promoted effectivelySupport reporting and campaign recaps across content and partnershipsHelp shape Cherub’s editorial voice and position the company at the center of conversations around startups, investing, creators, and modern capitalYou Might Be a Fit If You…Are genuinely obsessed with startups, venture capital, fundraising, tech, creators, internet culture, and business mediaSpend an unhealthy amount of time on LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Substack, and startup TwitterHave experience creating high-performing content across multiple platformsCan edit video quickly and create clean graphics with strong taste and speedUnderstand internet-native storytelling and how content moves onlineAre highly organized and can manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyThrive in startup environments and move quickly without needing constant directionHave strong writing and editorial instinctsAre excited by the intersection of creators, capital, and community If you obsessively follow Maggie Sellers, this job is right for youBonus PointsExperience working in startups, media, venture, creator economy, or newslettersStrong understanding of founder/investor cultureExperience with tools like manychat, Canva, CapCut, mailchimp, Beehiiv, etc.Comfortable being on-site at events and creating content in real timeThis Probably Isn't The Right Fit IfYou're looking for a fully mapped-out role with clear lanes and a brief for every deliverable.
