This will be a full time position.\nThe Schedule Coordinator checks patients pre-scan to ensure that, authorization (if needed) is obtained, order is compliant, and the exam is scheduled properly. Works to optimize schedules by rescheduling patients who aren’t cleared and filling empty exam times with cleared patients. Acts as a coordinator between the Operations, Scheduling, and Retail Revenue teams.\nSpecific duties include, but are not limited to:\nCheck patients pre-scan to ensure that, authorization (if needed) is\nobtained, order is compliant, and the exam is scheduled properly.\nMaximizes efficiency and optimization of site schedules.\nAct as a liaison between scheduling and other departments.\nOther duties as assigned.\nPosition Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required.\n1-2 years’ experience in medical or related field required.\nAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.\nExcellent communication skills both written and verbal\nExperience in the medical field- Front Desk, Scheduling, Eligibility/Authorization\nPreferred:\nMedical terminology.\nExperience as a scheduler in a multi-modality environment\nBackground with scheduling systems like Erad, Intergy, Fuji, etc.\nExperience utilizing scheduling systems like eRAD, Intergy & Fuji.\nPosition Requirements:\nBullets direct from Workday Job Profile\n\nAt Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
