Process optimization responsibilities will include analyzing existing processes to improve throughput, quality, cost, and efficiency. Capital Project responsibilities will include all aspects of capital project execution from initial scope development through startup and personnel training.\r\nPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities\r\nResponsible for assigned projects at the home base plant and other GCC locations - productivity, process, capital, expense and other.\r\n\r\nBe a catalyst for continuous improvement endeavors across all plants. Actively engage all personnel to develop and determine best path forward with resources on hand or detail required plan for most efficient resolution to opportunities.\r\nAs required, supervise and coordinate contractor's on-site work force to assure compliance with all plant procedures and policies and to assure effective utilization of resources.\r\nManage and support multiple efforts at the same time effectively.\r\nEnsure ESH policies and procedures are followed and documented. This includes strict adherence to change management, risk assessments, and method statements.\r\nDevelop processes and equipment with sustainability in mind supporting triple bottom line of People, Planet and Profit.\r\nWork with plant teams (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, etc.) as well as GCC Engineering resources across plants while developing best practices for continuous process and product improvements.\r\nWork with procurement to identify, select and manage outside contractors suited to perform required work. Ensure quality work is completed in a timely and safe manner by supervising contract workforce and performing housekeeping and safety inspections.\r\nSupport the ISO quality system as required ensuring compliance to the ISO 9001 quality standard and all GCC Quality Policies.\r\nExecute all Capital Projects in accordance with the HEM Capex procedures.\r\nEvaluate new processing and milling technologies.\r\nDesign and conduct test programs for new or modified products.\r\nProvide Engineering support to GCC customers.\r\nMay have other accountabilities.\r\n\r\nSpecialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills\r\nA minimum of a 4-year engineering degree at an accredited university with at least 10 years experience in manufacturing.\r\n\r\nExperience which includes evaluating the performance of existing and new processes, making recommendations based on these evaluations, and successfully implementing process improvements.\r\nExperience with structured processes and tools. Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, RCA.\r\nMust have the ability to manage time and priorities to effectively handle multiple competing projects with tight deadlines and budget requirements.\r\nAbility to practice good management skills required to direct and supervise contractors.\r\nExcellent communication skills and team skills.\r\nProficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD design.\r\nMust be able to travel up 10-50% of the time to support other GCC Plants.\r\nMust be able to read and comprehend company safety manual policies, SOP's, MSDS, and various production schedules / reports and engineering drawings.\r\nExperience in mineral processing is preferred.\r\n\r\nKey Competencies\r\nSummary\r\nDrive for Results - Management\r\nInspire and Influence Others - Management\r\nTotal Rewards\r\nJ.M.
