If you feel the same way, we'd love for you to join us.\r\nThe Role\r\nAs a DevSecOps / Platform Engineer at Obviant , you will build and operate the foundational systems that power our data ingestion pipelines, application infrastructure, and secure deployment environments. You'll work across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, container orchestration, and security automation to ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and compliant with the needs of defense users.\r\nThis is a hands-on role with deep ownership. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, data, and product teams to develop the infrastructure that supports fast iteration, an expanding feature surface, and mission-critical workflows for government stakeholders.\r\nWe move fast, simplify complexity, and build systems that scale.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDesign, implement, and operate secure, cloud-native infrastructure that powers Obviant's core platform\r\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable high-velocity, high-reliability shipping across teams\r\nWork with containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes) to automate deployments and manage environments\r\nDevelop Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks to standardize and scale system provisioning\r\nImplement and uphold DevSecOps best practices—hardening images, managing vulnerabilities, and automating security controls\r\nCollaborate with full-stack engineers and data teams to support ingestion pipelines, new product workflows, and user-facing features\r\nTroubleshoot infrastructure issues in real time, identify root causes, and drive long-term improvements to reliability and performance\r\nParticipate in research and development to improve automation, observability, build tooling, and operational efficiency\r\nContribute directly to how government technology is built and delivered by shaping infrastructure strategy end-to-end\r\nWhat You Bring\r\n3+ years of experience operating cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure welcome)\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance\r\nStrong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, Helm, etc.)\r\nExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, etc.)\r\nHands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines\r\nUnderstanding of container/image hardening and vulnerability management\r\nProficiency in at least one scripting language (Typescript, Go, etc…)\r\nExperience debugging distributed systems and automating workflows\r\nStrong communication skills—clear, concise, and collaborative\r\nAbility to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and drive outcomes with high ownership\r\nPassion for national security and mission-driven work\r\nComfortable with the pace and expectations of a fast-growing startup\r\nBonus\r\nExperience supporting government or regulated environments\r\nExposure to IL4/IL5, compliance frameworks, or security accreditation processes\r\nKubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)\r\nAWS Solutions Architect certification\r\nExperience with multi-cloud networking and container hardening\r\nActive or ability to obtain a security clearance\r\nOur Working Style — Why You Might Love It Here\r\nYou care about government & are mission-oriented - Our work is important, and is critical to improving a system that impacts us all.\r\nPerseverance and endurance - Hard problems are worth solving, and solving them can take a long time.
