Our mission is to deliver secure, seamless, and modern authentication experiences for millions of users across Docusign’s ecosystem.\nYou will work closely with product, design, and backend platform engineers to build high-quality web applications and integrations that improve reliability, performance, and user experience. You’ll collaborate across engineering and security teams to shape how users access Docusign safely and efficiently.\nThis position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.\nResponsibility\nDesign, develop, and maintain secure, performant, and user-friendly authentication experiences across web and mobile web\nBuild modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript, Webpack, and related frameworks\nCollaborate with backend engineers to design and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs that power the authentication platform\nApply strong ownership to drive features end-to-end—from technical design and implementation to monitoring and production support\nPartner with design and product to ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and usability across devices and browsers\nContribute to reusable UI components, shared libraries, and frontend build pipelines to improve developer efficiency\nParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions to ensure code quality, scalability, and security\nLearn and apply best practices in authentication, security, and frontend architecture continuously\nMentor peers and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture\n\nJob Designation\n\nHybrid:\nEmployee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.\n\nWhat You Bring\n\nBasic\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience\n5+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining production web applications\nExperience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Webpack, and modern frontend development tools\nExperience with backend technologies and service integration (e.g., Node.js, .NET, or similar frameworks)\nExperience with RESTful API design, data fetching, and state management patterns\nExperience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, etc)\nDemonstrated ability to take ownership of features and deliver high-quality, maintainable code in an agile environment\nPreferred\nExperience building authentication or identity-related features (login, MFA, SSO, passkey, etc)\nExperience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, feature flagging, and automated testing frameworks\nFamiliarity with performance monitoring, logging, and telemetry tools\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills\nPassion for building secure, delightful user experiences\n\nWage Transparency\n\nPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.\n\nBased on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:\n\nWashington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $133,800.00 - $197,750.00 base salary\n\nThis role is also eligible for the following:\nBonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
