The Learning & Development Program Coordinator plays a key role in making that happen: supporting the onboarding of every new Spotlighter, keeping the systems and materials that power our L&D program running smoothly, and serving as a trusted resource who guides employees to the right development opportunities.\n\nThis is a hybrid role — approximately 75% L&D and 25% recruiting — with the flexibility to shift that balance as team needs evolve. One week you may be leading a new-hire tech and tools session; the next you’re co-owning sourcing for an entry-level search or representing Spotlight at a campus career fair. You thrive because you’re organized, warm, proactive, and genuinely energized by both sides of the work.\n\nThose effective in this role…\n\nOwn the logistics of every new hire’s first days — coordinating equipment, setup, scheduling, shadow assignments, and review sessions — and lead tactical onboarding sessions including office tours and tech and tools walkthroughs.\n\nSet up new hires in the Learning Management System, build and assign learning paths, manage compliance assignments, and keep the Knowledge Management System current with up-to-date job aids, recordings, and training materials.\n\nSupport the day-to-day logistics of continuous development programming — scheduling sessions, ordering meals, assembling materials — and contribute to a growing range of L&D and Talent Acquisition initiatives.\n\nPartner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to co-own hiring for internship and entry-level roles from sourcing through offer, assist with scheduling across all levels, coordinate and attend career fairs and recruiting events, and conduct candidate tours at both Spotlight locations.\n\nApply Claude and AI-powered tools to streamline coordination workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and free up time for higher-value work across both L&D and recruiting.\n\nDesired Skills and Experience\n\nExperience: 0-2 years in HR, Recruiting, Learning & Development, or related background. What matters most is that you’re organized, warm, and energized by helping people and systems run well. An interest in instructional design is a plus.\n\nOrganization and coordination. You manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines without dropping anything. You’re proactive about what’s coming, detail-oriented in how you execute, and calm when priorities shift.\n\nAdaptability. You’re comfortable moving between L&D and recruiting work depending on where the team needs you most. You don’t see the dual nature of this role as a complication — you see it as variety, and you bring the same care to both sides.\n\nPeople warmth. You make new hires feel welcomed, candidates feel respected, and colleagues feel supported. You have high emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and audiences.\n\nTech and AI fluency.
