Other locations may be considered.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and supervise field technicians on electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning projects (low, medium, and high voltage systems).\nPlan, coordinate, and execute projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within scope.\nServe as the on-site point of contact for clients, providing updates and technical guidance.\nPerform advanced testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electrical equipment including:\nSwitchgear and circuit breakers\nPower transformers\nProtection and control systems (relays)\nCables and rotating equipment\nInterpret drawings, schematics, and specifications to guide field work.\nEnsure all work complies with applicable standards (NETA, IEEE, ANSI, OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.).\nReview and approve field reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.\nMentor and develop junior technicians, promoting technical growth and safe work practices.\nCoordinate logistics, materials, and equipment required for project execution.\nIdentify and communicate opportunities for additional work or scope changes.\nNETA Level III or IV Certification (or equivalent combination of education and experience).\n7+ years of hands-on field experience in electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning.\nDemonstrated experience leading crews and running projects independently.\nStrong working knowledge of electrical power systems (480V through EHV).\nProficiency in testing methods such as:\nInsulation resistance, power factor, and Doble testing\nTransformer testing (TTR, winding resistance, etc.)\nRelay testing (electromechanical and microprocessor-based)\nCable testing (VLF, Tan Delta, HiPot)\nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.\nStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\nCommitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.\nVector Power is seeking an experienced Lead Technician to oversee field execution of electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance projects.
