If you are driven to make a lasting impact by guiding diverse learners toward graduation and beyond, this is your opportunity to shape futures.Key ResponsibilitiesGuide Academic & Personal GrowthDevelop individualized academic and graduation plans aligned with student goalsProvide one-on-one and group counseling addressing academic, social, and emotional needsMonitor student progress and conduct regular check-ins with students and familiesSupport at-risk students with targeted intervention strategies Drive College & Career ReadinessGuide students through college applications, financial aid, and post-secondary planningOrganize impactful experiences such as College Day, Career Day, and field tripsSupport dual enrollment pathways and career exploration opportunitiesBuild and maintain alumni networks to inspire current students Design Student-Centered SystemsCollaborate on master scheduling and course planning aligned with graduation requirementsMaintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with policies and FERPASupport intake, orientation, and ongoing academic planning processesMonitor graduation progress and adjust student schedules as needed Support Whole-Student WellnessIdentify and support students needing additional academic or social-emotional servicesCoordinate SST, 504, and IEP processes in collaboration with staff and familiesConnect students with internal and external resources to support well-being Collaborate with CommunityPartner closely with teachers, Academic Advisors, and families to support student successFacilitate bilingual communication and inclusive engagement practicesParticipate in school events, staff meetings, and professional developmentContribute to a positive, safe, and culturally responsive school environment RequirementsWho You AreYou Must Have:A valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School CounselingA Bachelor's degree in Academic Counseling or related fieldBilingual proficiency in English and SpanishFlexibility to support both AM and PM programs, including evening shiftsCPR certification required You're the Perfect Fit If You:Have experience supporting high school and/or adult learnersAre skilled in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practicesBelieve deeply in equity, access, and student-centered educationBuild strong relationships with students, families, and community partnersAre highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectivelyUse data and reflection to continuously improve student outcomesAre a compassionate, resilient advocate for student success BenefitsWhy You'll Love Being Part of Our TeamAt Escuela Popular, we support our educators as passionately as they support our students.
