The successful candidate must be able to independently review customer drawings, develop machining strategies, create Mastercam programs, select tooling, design fixtures, troubleshoot manufacturing problems, and support new jobs through a successful production launch.\nThis position works closely with management, quality, production personnel, machine operators, customers, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will combine strong CNC programming skills with practical shop-floor machining experience and a continuous-improvement mindset.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nCreate, verify, modify, and maintain CNC programs using Mastercam.\nDevelop machining processes for new and existing production work.\nReview customer drawings, solid models, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.\nDetermine the appropriate machine, workholding method, tooling, material size, feeds, speeds, and sequence of operations.\nProgram CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers.\nDesign, develop, build, and implement machining fixtures and workholding solutions.\nCreate setup instructions, tool lists, operation sheets, and production documentation.\nSupport machine setups, firstpiece production, inspection, and process validation.\nTroubleshoot programming, tooling, fixture, quality, cycletime, and machining issues.\nDetermine root causes of manufacturing problems and implement effective corrective actions.\nEstimate cycle times, tooling requirements, fixture costs, and material requirements.\nReview product designs for manufacturability, completeness, quality, and profitability.\nIdentify opportunities to improve cycle time, tool life, process capability, productivity, and manufacturing cost.\nDesign or specify special cutting tools and obtain supplier quotations when needed.\nDetermine and order cutting tools, holders, collets, and other machining supplies.\nMaintain organized CNC program, CAD/CAM, tooling, fixture, and engineering files.\nInspect and measure machined components using precision measuring equipment.\nTrain machine operators and setup personnel on loading, inspection, deburring, tool changes, offsets, and machining requirements.\nProvide technical machining support to quality, production, estimating, and management personnel.\nMaintain KrisDee’s quality, safety, housekeeping, and documentation standards.\nPerform other related responsibilities assigned by the General Manager.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAt least three years of professional CNC programming experience.\nAt least three years of experience using Mastercam in a production machining environment.\nStrong experience programming CNC milling machines.\nExperience machining aluminum, steel, cast iron, and other ferrous and nonferrous materials.\nExperience selecting cutting tools, holders, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies.\nExperience designing and implementing machining fixtures and workholding.\nAbility to independently take a part from customer print or model through production launch.\nAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.\nStrong knowledge of shop mathematics and machining fundamentals.\nAbility to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.\nAbility to identify outoftolerance conditions and determine appropriate corrective action.\nStrong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.\nAbility to communicate clearly with machine operators, inspectors, management, customers, and suppliers.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other computer applications.\nAuthorization to work in the United States.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFive or more years of CNC programming experience.\nExperience programming horizontal machining centers.\nExperience with multipallet or production machining environments.\nExperience programming Makino or similar CNC machining centers.\nExperience machining complex hydraulic manifolds, castings, or closetolerance production components.\nExperience with fixture design, probing, tombstone workholding, and multioperation machining.\nWorking knowledge of AS9100 or ISObased quality systems.\nExperience with lean manufacturing, setup reduction, cycletime improvement, and toolingcost reduction.\nExperience estimating machining cycle times and manufacturing costs.\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong CNC programming and machining knowledge.\nStrong mechanical and technical problemsolving ability.\nThorough attention to detail.\nSound judgment and independent decisionmaking.\nAbility to balance productivity, tool life, quality, and manufacturing cost.\nStrong troubleshooting and rootcauseanalysis skills.\nAbility to clearly document machining processes and setup requirements.\nWillingness to work directly with production personnel on the shop floor.\nTeamoriented attitude and willingness to share machining knowledge.\nCommitment to quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.\nWork Environment\nThis position works in both an office and manufacturing environment. The employee may be exposed to moving machinery, cutting fluids, chemical solvents, airborne particles, vibration, and elevated noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe employee must be able to:\nRegularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.\nUse hands and fingers to operate computers, measuring equipment, tools, and machinery.\nCommunicate effectively in an active manufacturing environment.\nMaintain close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, including the ability to adjust focus.\nOccasionally lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.\nWork Schedule\nThis is a full-time, first-shift position.
