Funeral Assistant

What you’ll do
Assist funeral directors with the planning and execution of services, ensuring all arrangements are seamless and respectful.
Help with event planning, coordinating logistics for memorial services, including venue setup and decoration.
Participate in heavy lifting tasks, such as moving caskets and setting up equipment, while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the funeral home to create a welcoming environment for guests.
Operate the crematory and ensure adherence to all safety procedures.
Transfer deceased individuals from the place of death to the funeral home.
Transfer death certificates and other sensitive documentation from doctors offices to the funeral home.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
Basic qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others during difficult times.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, as required by the role.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
