As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a mechanically minded professional to join our technical support team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, elevator, or field service who is ready to transition into a more predictable office environment while continuing to solve technical challenges.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide remote technical support to customers and field technicians via phone and email.\nDiagnose equipment issues and guide technicians through repairs using wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.\nReview installations to help ensure compliance with applicable residential elevator codes and standards.\nPrepare parts recommendations and pricing while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.\nSupport modernization efforts for existing elevator systems by identifying compatible upgrades and replacement components.\nAssist with onboarding and technical training for installation and service personnel.\nAccurately document service cases, monitor performance metrics, and maintain detailed records within company systems.\nBuild positive relationships with customers by delivering timely, professional, and solution-focused support.\nQualifications\nStrong mechanical aptitude with experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, elevator, or similar technical trades.\nAbility to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.\nExcellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication abilities with a customer-focused approach.\nComfortable working with computers, CRM platforms, and service management software.\nSelf-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nNo college degree is required; practical, hands-on technical experience is highly valued.\nPreferred Experience\nPrevious experience within the elevator industry.\nFamiliarity with residential elevator codes and installation requirements.\nExperience supporting or training field technicians.\nKnowledge of modernization projects involving legacy equipment.\nExperience with PLC controls.\nFamiliarity with Mitsubishi and Siemens automation products.\nTechnical certifications such as CET, PMP, or equivalent are a plus.\nWork Environment\nPrimarily office-based with a consistent weekday schedule.\nOccasional travel to customer or job sites as needed.\nFrequent computer and telephone use throughout the workday.\nAbility to safely lift or move materials weighing up to 75 pounds when required.\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with employer matching contributions\nPaid time off and company-recognized holidays\nOngoing training and professional development opportunities\nCollaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented work environment\nFox Valley Elevator is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and identities.
