Maintenance Technician (Processing/Packaging)North Kingstown, RIStarting at $22 per hour7am to 3:30pmJOB SUMMARY:Highly motivated and dependable, self-starter individual able to use deductive reasoning and root-cause analysis to approach and efficiently solve problems in a timely manner. Must be able to complete all tasks as encountered or assigned, utilizing professional and effective long-term solutions, and do so in a fast- paced environment. Successful candidate needs to demonstrate eagerness and ability to learn all systems and equipment to an expert level while providing a flexible schedule and expected to contribute to all phases of continuous improvement.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES of the Maintenance Technician (Processing/Packaging)Perform preventive maintenance of production process systems and equipment. Typically includes electrical controls, pumps, motors, compressors, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment using available software or instruments.Keep multiple processing and packaging lines running at full capacity with minimum down-time.Carry out and document assigned maintenance tasks, as assigned thru the use of CMMS system and Microsoft Outlook.Document completed tasks into computerized maintenance system (CMMS) / Microsoft outlook and communicate to necessary parties via the MDA (maintenance daily activities) report.Provide input to maintenance team on condition of equipment and recommend service needs and schedules.Manage spare parts/tools inventory using a computerized maintenance management system.Maintain all work areas and equipment in a neat, clean and organized mannerunder 5s standards.Display compliance with safety (OSHA), quality and production procedures following all GMP and SOP.Assist production team in operations capacity as necessary.Flexible to work different shifts and overtime as business needs dictate.Provide technical support "on call" as needed– either in person or via telephone.QUALIFICATIONS of the Maintenance Technician (Processing/Packaging)Required:Must possess highly mechanical skill and moderate / beginner of electrical skill (Low & high voltage)Familiar with various pump styles & auto/manual valve and be able to disassemble / rebuild if needed.Familiar with carton formers & sealers, conveyors, ribbon mixer, storage vessel, agitators, automatic wrapping machine and packaging equipment.Must be able to professionally and appropriately interact with other departments internally, other company associates and outside vendors.Beginner to intermediate user of MS outlook.Knowledge and demonstrated experience with safety procedures and OSHA safety requirements such as Lockout/Tag out, confined space, and motorized handling equipment and powered liftsGood communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with his/her technical teamPreferred:Experience in a food production or pharmaceutical manufacturing FDA regulated facilityExperienced primarily with Allen-Bradley and Siemens, PLC base control systems. VFD (Allen- Bradley power flex series, etc.), Servo technology, (Allen-Bradley and SEW), ultrasonic sensors, guided radar sensors, contrast optic sensors, etc.Familiar with heating loop and heating loop controls, PI, PID controls and boilers systems.Experience in robotic case packer & palletizer or equivalent.Experience in liquid fill processing and form fill seal packagingUnderstanding and experience operating in GMP environmentForklift certified or able to be certifiedExperience servicing around HVAC, compressed air systems and nitrogen generator membrane systemsOSHA Lockout/Tag Out certifiedWORKING CONDITIONS of the Maintenance Technician (Processing/Packaging)Light industrial food manufacturing – Peanut processing facilityModerate / fast pace – schedule heavily dependent on machine up-time and performanceCompany Description GreenKiss Staffing Solutions, Inc. brings over 30 years of industry expertise to the forefront of nationwide recruiting.
