DYVICC Inc. is currently seeking a Software Development Engineer for our headquarters in Hoffman Estates, IL, with the potential for travel to client locations across the U.S. as needed.\r\nJob Duties & Responsibilities\r\nAnalyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.\r\nAnalyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.\r\nConfer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.\r\nConfer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.\r\nConsult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.\r\nCoordinate installation of software system.\r\nDesign, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.\r\nDetermine system performance standards.\r\nDevelop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation.\r\nModify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.\r\nMonitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.\r\nObtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, or security needs to determine hardware configuration.\r\nPrepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.\r\nRecommend purchase of equipment to control dust, temperature, or humidity in area of system installation.\r\nSpecify power supply requirements and configuration.\r\nStore, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.\r\nSupervise and assign work to programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel.\r\nAssess database performance.\r\nAssign duties or work schedules to employees.\r\nCollaborate with others to determine design specifications or details.\r\nCollaborate with others to resolve information technology issues.\r\nCommunicate project information to others.\r\nCoordinate software or hardware installation.\r\nDesign software applications.\r\nDevelop performance metrics or standards related to information technology.\r\nDevelop testing routines or procedures.\r\nManage information technology projects or system activities.\r\nMonitor computer system performance to ensure proper operation.\r\nPrepare data for analysis.\r\nProvide technical support for software maintenance or use.\r\nExperience & Knowledge\r\nThis position requires clear communication internally and externally, strong organizational skills, resiliency, and a solution focused mindset!\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technical major with minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Software Development Engineer required.\r\nStrong aptitude in developing rapport and relationships with individuals at a variety of levels.\r\nSoft skills required - strong drive, persistence, consistency, organization, time management, written and verbal communication.\r\nFlexible mindset focused on delivering quality deliverables on tight deadlines.\r\nExcellent problem-solving capability.\r\nAbility to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.\r\nCapable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.\r\nStrong knowledge and experience with access management software; Citrix cloud computing software.\r\nKnowledge with Business intelligence system software; Cisco Systems Cisco Works; Element management software.\r\nStrong knowledge and experience with AWS Cloud Formation; Apache Kafka; Apache Maven; Jenkins; Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services; Ansible; Git.\r\nSystem and data disaster recovery software; Veritas NetBackup.\r\nStrong knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.\r\nDesktop communications, publishing and Document management software.\r\nStrong knowledge and experience with Internet protocol IP multimedia subsystem software.\r\nStrong knowledge and experience with Network conferencing software such as Slido interaction software.\r\nStrong knowledge and experience with Network monitoring software such as Nagios;
