Intermediate Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer | Commercial buildings, Education and Residential Our client: Our client is a growing women-owned engineering firm based in New York City offering Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Design services. Job Description: Immediate need for a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer. This is for a self-motivated candidate who can grow with the firm. The Engineer should be able to assist in the development of plumbing and sprinkler design drawings for permitting and construction under supervision of the principal. As well as perform on-site surveys, calculations, and shop drawings. HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT! Responsibilities:Development of plumbing and sprinkler design drawings for permitting and constructionPerform on-site surveys and inspections as requiredPrepare hydraulic calculationsReview shop drawings, submittals, and RFI's during constructionCoordinate design requirements with in-house mechanical, electrical and fire alarm engineersPrepare all construction drawings and reports Qualifications:3-4 years of similar experience in Plumbing and Fire Protection DesignFamiliar with NYC codes and standardsProficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Microsoft Office Suite.
