This includes process design for various systems. This role’s activities provide a direct source for our customer base and outside sales force to refer to for technical expertise and guidance for project & system design recommendations.\n\n*Essential Functions: *\n\n* Generate quotes and cost estimates in a timely manner.\n* Maintain email correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.\n* Communicate effectively with design firms and end users (Engineered Specification & Preliminary Design work).\n* Support customer inquiries by fielding calls while being a source of information and problem solving to customers.\n* Develop design alternatives when necessary and clearly communicate the reasons for the design alternatives.\n* Provide engineered solutions within a variety of constraints (budget/cost, available resources/utilities, space/footprint, time, etc.).\n* Prioritize and multitask during high volume periods and maintain customer patience.\n* Continuously communicate with the team to resolve customer needs and proactively manage workload.\n* Propose final buy and competitive pricing to customers.\n* Utilize CRM/ERP software to track all technical work and communications.\n* Visit client sites as needed.\n* Act as a backup for Inside Customer Service.\n\n*Knowledge & Skills:*\n\n* Problem-solving\n* Logical thinking\n* Multi-tasking\n* Time management\n* Presentation skills\n* Technical Capacity\n* Excellent written and verbal communication\n* Self-starter\n* Organized\n* Team-oriented\n* Strong public relations skillset\n* Desire and aptitude to grow skillset and increase knowledge\n\n*Minimum Qualifications:*\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution or comparable experience.\n* 0-2 years of experience involving sales/design/estimating and customer support.\n* Adept in engineering problem solving.\n* Additional preferred qualifications include:\n* Familiarity with chemistry/kinetics, fluid dynamics, environmental chemistry or filtration.\n* Knowledge or experience with pumps, piping systems, and/or fluid handling equipment will be a plus.\n* Knowledge of ASME and AWS plastic and metal welding standards, and UL/CE electrical requirements.\n\n*Physical Requirements:*\n\n* Must be able to lift 10 lbs. unaided.\n* Must be able to sit for long periods of time.\n* Must be able to type, bend, and reach.\n* Must be able to travel 10% of the time.\n\n*Environment:*\n\n* Typical professional, office setting.\n* Exposure to industrial conditions when visiting customers and touring their facilities.\n* Routinely use standard office equipment including phones, computer, copiers, printers, etc.\n* Must contribute to a positive work environment.\n\nJoin us as an Applications Engineer to leverage your technical expertise in a vibrant environment that values innovation and customer success!\n\nPay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year\n\nBenefits:\n* 401(k)\n* 401(k) 3% Match\n* 401(k) matching\n* Dental insurance\n* Flexible spending account\n* Health insurance\n* Health savings account\n* Life insurance\n* Paid time off\n* Referral program\n* Retirement plan\n* Tuition reimbursement\n* Vision insurance\n\nApplication Question(s):\n* Are you familiar with chemistry/kinetics, fluid dynamics, environmental chemistry, or filtration?
