This role will be an integral part of the manufacturing team. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities through performing fabrication work for Aeronautical Accessories’ manufacturing department under general supervision.What You’ll Be Doing As a FabricatorPerform fabrication tasks with limited supervision.Ensure proper part identification and/or record S/N for plastics and windows manufactured.Perform 1st piece inspection and detect/resolve errors.Operate various machines in fabrication department when required, to include vacuum machine and ovens.Assist with training of other employees as needed.Interpret, create, and maintain process sheets as required.Troubleshoot and solve routine problems as required.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsSkills you bring to this RoleHigh School Diploma or GED4 years of fabrication experience (i.e. sawing, sanding, trimming, routing, cleaning and bonding) with limited supervision.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings and work orders.Experience applying Measurements, Sheet Metal (Rivets), Torque, Safety Wire, Cotter Pins, Proseal application.Familiarity and experience with measuring equipment and hand tools related to job duties.Forklift operation experience preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to wear all required PPE specific to job duties (may include respiratory equipment)Ability to operate basic hand tools and departmental equipment safely and efficiently in order to perform assigned job duties.Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shiftAbility to operate computer, to include keyboard, mouse, and software related to job dutiesExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.Ability to work in environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust and odors, and various machine heat cyclesWhat We Offer You In Return80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO)120 hours Vacation time12-13 paid holidays per year6 weeks parental leaveTuition reimbursementCompetitive salaryComprehensive health insuranceOn-site fitness centerAccess to more than 11 Employee Resource GroupsAnd so much moreIt’s time to make your mark on the future of aviation.
