Prepare maintenance, repair, construction technical drawings, specifications of mechanical/electrical systems, facility diagrams, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.\nProvide maintenance engineering expertise for all facilities and act as Subject Matter Expert for engineering and equipment support. Develop and support programs that will establish a world-class maintenance organization.\nDirect or coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.\nOperate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.\nLead maintenance CMMS utilization and PM programs that standardize the work order system.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nPerform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.\nOversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget. Investigate customer or public complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures.\nManage design changes once bid drawings are issued and ensure compliance with the change control procedures.\nDevelop and review equipment, material specifications, and bid documents. Evaluate bid proposals and prepare recommendation for the award. Review invoices, approve of technical submittals, monitor delivery schedules, and manage all technical changes.\nSubmit, review, and approve all vendor drawings and data.\nAssure that equipment and material meet the specification requirements.\nDevelop construction/electrical drawings applying professional drafting techniques using AutoCAD and/or REVIT following approved layer/file standards provided.\nImplement and comply with Configuration Management Policy.\nProvide technical assistance to the construction staff and maintenance contractors on clarification of design. Provide field staff with technical input on design changes required during construction.\nInvestigate and determine the operational impact on unit operation for any equipment outage.\nImplement Project Management’s Construction Inspection/Monitoring program.\nConfer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.\nWork with Management and Government Customers to determine specific facility and production needs in the areas of Engineering and Maintenance support.\nMaintain a standardized maintenance manual that meets ISO standards.\nPerforms other related responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, from a school accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) required.\nMinimum of 5 years of engineering experience required.\nMinimum of 3 years in project management required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.\nPE or EIT certification preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to develop complex engineering specs and perform intricate studies.\nAware of changes and advancements in the industry and develop industry-wide expertise.\nStrong negotiating skills, excellent presentation, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong problem-solving skills focused on the results of data rather than on the data analysis procedures. In some cases, these “problems” may be associated with the ServiceSource generation and transmission of electricity safely, at the lowest cost, or in developing expanded capabilities and services for customer.\nWillingness to enter confined spaces and climb/scale power system apparatuses is required.\nWork independently and as a contributing member of a team with a high level of integrity and personal accountability.\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos, labels, and numbers.\nAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\nExcellent customer service skills, verbal and written skills, and ability to accept and follow directions.\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, and Builder\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines daily.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
