Areas of expertise include: Applicable materials & equipment knowledge.\nPerforms manufacturing performance analysis to reduce processing costs through creative engineering and proactive procedures.\nProvides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.\nPrepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.\nProvides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.\nCompletes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.\nDesign and develop new products and product mock-ups alongside the creative team.\nDevise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.\nDevelop standardized design criteria across all product lines.\nPerforms product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.\nRepresents manufacturing on cross-functional teams\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering required, with a minimum of four to six years related experience and/or training. Continuing education as required staying abreast of new developments area of expertise.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP. Proficient in Microsoft Project software.\nSkilled in 3D modeling software; Solidworks a plus.\nKnowledge in Lean/6 sigma problem solving.\nMust be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under minimal supervision.\nEnglish speaking. Read, analyze, and interpret common industrial, manufacturing and technical procedures, professional journals, schematics, diagrams, drawings, and blueprints. Write reports, business correspondence, assembly instructions and procedural manuals. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or other members of the manufacturing community.\nIdentify the training and development needs within the organization through appraisal and consultation with peers and co-workers.
