This engineering role primarily involves modeling and analysis of multiple ongoing and future controllable solid propulsion / throttling solid rocket technology development programs.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nDynamic modeling and simulation, control algorithm design and development of propulsion systems.\n\nActuation system modeling and analysis.\n\nSteady state and transient performance modeling and analysis.\n\nModeling and analysis in Matlab/Simulink and C/C++.\n\nSupport development of rocket propulsion hardware and software requirements, including coordination of derivation of internal requirements allocation.\n\nSupport propulsion system testing, including test plan and test procedure development, pre-test predictions, integration of electronic test support equipment, and development of test-related software.\n\nSupport coordination with avionics and software engineering.\n\nPerform test data analysis.\n\nMentoring and training of early career team members.\n\nTravel: 10% – Offsite testing as required.\n\nAbility to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior Control Systems Analysis experience; or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior Control Systems Analysis experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior Control Systems Analysis experience.\n\nPreferred Additional Skills\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline is preferred.\n\nActive US Secret Security Clearance is preferred.\n\nExperience working in a classified environment is desired.\n\nExpertise with Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, control theory, and propulsion theory is highly desired.\n\nPropulsion system experience (propulsion system controls, design, integration, testing).\n\nExperience in post-test data analysis.\n\nDemonstrated leadership competency and solid communication skills, in both verbal and written.\n\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $110,500 - $205,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $127,500 - $236,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
