Junior Event Sales ManagerDriftwood CateringFull-Time | Multiple LocationsSalary: $45,000 – $55,000 Annually + CommissionBenefits: Health, Dental, Vision Insurance | Paid Time OffAbout the RoleDriftwood Catering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Event Sales Manager to support the planning and execution of events from initial client inquiry through event day. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to grow their career in hospitality sales and event management.In this role, you will work closely with senior sales and operations leaders to learn the full event lifecycle while building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences.Key Responsibilities Client Support & Relationship BuildingProvide prompt, professional communication with clients and assist with ongoing follow-upSupport the sales team in guiding clients through contracts, deposits, and event detailsAssist in maintaining organized client records and timelinesHelp ensure all deadlines and requirements are met for successful event executionSales Support & GrowthAssist in managing incoming inquiries and supporting account developmentIdentify opportunities to enhance events through additional services (floral, bakery, rentals, etc.)Support proposal creation and review for accuracyLearn pricing strategies and contribute to achieving sales goalsEvent Planning & CoordinationAssist with event planning, detailing, and preparation alongside senior team membersHelp create timelines, floor plans, and staffing outlinesCoordinate with culinary and operations teams to ensure smooth executionCommunicate updates and changes to internal teams as neededOperational SupportMaintain organized communication between clients and internal departmentsStay up to date with company processes, systems, and weekly responsibilitiesAssist with administrative tasks and documentationContribute to a positive team environment and uphold company standardsQualifications0–2 years of experience in hospitality, events, sales, or customer service (preferred but not required)High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferredStrong interest in hospitality and event salesBasic computer skills, including:Word processingSpreadsheetsDatabase or CRM systems (a plus, not required)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as neededCore CompetenciesProfessional communicationTeam collaborationClient-focused mindsetStrong organization and time managementAdaptability and willingness to learnProblem-solving in fast-paced environmentsWhy Driftwood Catering?At Driftwood Catering, we believe in developing talent from within.
