This role works closely with the Program Director, Studio Programs Manager, and Marketing Manager to design, staff, and evaluate programs that serve adults and young adults on the autism spectrum, and to represent SBTT’s work through exhibitions and community events.Flex Programming currently includes:Transitional ProgramsDesign, implement, and evaluate Transitional ProgramCreate and maintain applications, communications, and calendars for Transitional ProgramsOversee budget and order supplies for Transitional ProgramsCollaborate with Marketing Manager on announcements and outreach for Transitional ProgramsRecruit, manage, and coordinate payment for teaching artists New Pilot Initiatives Launch Creators Club and Open Studio pilot initiatives in collaboration with the Program Director:Creators Club–a semester-based offering providing supported studio time and community building for autistic artists, culminating in an end-of-term outcome or projectOpen Studio Hours–independent studio time for autistic artists who are self-directed and need to engage with the studio outside of regular scheduling.Create and maintain applications, communications, and calendars for these programs in collaboration with the Program DirectorRecruit, manage, and coordinate payment for teaching artists Community Programs currently includes:Community Art Nights + Workshops Coordinate staffing and calendar for Community Art NightsCollaborate with Marketing Manager on promotion of Community Art NightsCoordinate occasional workshops in collaboration with fellow program staff Core Program Support currently includes:Adult ProgramAssist in adult sessions as needed in coordination with the Studio Programs Manager and Program DirectorCollaborate with the Studio Programs Manager and Program Director on curatorial and production needs for markets, exhibitions, and special projectsArtist Residency ProgramAssist with the Artist Residency Program as needed in collaboration with the Studio Programs ManagerAccessibility Coordinator duties include:Assist in maintaining a safe, accepting, and accessible studio environment for artists, staff, volunteers, and visitorsAssist in research and maintenance of accessibility best practices across studio departments, including maintenance of first aid supplies and safety equipment Oversee maintenance of 50% KultureCity compliance and staff CPR certificationsOversee visual guides, social stories, and other visual documents in partnership with the Marketing ManagerExhibitions and Market coordination duties include:Research and conduct outreach for new exhibition opportunities in partnership with the Program Director and Studio Programs ManagerCoordinate with the Program Director on production needs and calendar for existing and new exhibition and market opportunitiesCoordinate and oversee installation/deinstallation of exhibitions Update rotating exhibitions with partner sites such as Red Bike CoffeeCollaborate with the Executive Director and Program Director on high-level curatorial and exhibition goals and strategiesManage coordination and communication with market organizersTrack metrics related to engagement, sales, fundraising, etc. at marketsStaff and coordinate staffing for markets and similar eventsRequirementsExperience working in the arts, arts education, community arts, and/or nonprofit sectorExperience in a working studio environment, visual arts, art-making processes, or arts programming.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to be adaptable and flexible in a dynamic studio environmentComfortable working collaboratively with a diverse group of adult and young adult artistsWorking knowledge of Google SuiteA strong commitment to fostering a supportive, positive, and inclusive environment for individuals of all abilities and backgrounds.Preferred but not requiredExperience working with adults and young adults on the autism spectrumExperience with exhibition or market coordination and installationWork EnvironmentFull-time, on-site position at our Irondale studio.Hands-on work in a busy, collaborative, art-making environment.32 hour average work week.Some evening/weekend hours required for events or special programs.Compensation & BenefitsSalary $33,000-36,000, depending on experiencePaid time off, holidays, and health benefits (if applicable).Professional development opportunities.A deeply meaningful role within a mission-driven arts community.QualificationsWe encourage applicants with diverse backgrounds, lived experience, and nontraditional career paths to apply.
