The LoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to supporting justice-impacted families through transportation, therapy, and technology-driven programs. Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry.Founded in 2025, the LoopRoots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.Our key initiatives includeLoopConnect A ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.LoopTalk A HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma-informed mental health care to justice-impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.LoopTroop Rideshare Partnership We collaborate with the LoopTroop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.The LoopRoots Foundation is committed to using community-based, technology-enabled tools to restore dignity, promote healing, and reduce generational harm. These credits can be used within our Rideshare app to access safe, reliable transportation for essential needs such as work, medical appointments, school, court obligations, and reentry-related services.The program is designed to reduce transportation barriers that disproportionately impact low-income families and individuals affected by incarceration, housing instability, and systemic inequities.Role OverviewThe Volunteer Program Coordinator will support the development, coordination, and day-to-day operations of the LoopConnect transportation wallet program. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit program operations, social impact technology, or equitable transportation access.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with coordination and administration of the LoopConnect programSupport onboarding and tracking of families receiving wallet creditsHelp monitor wallet usage and basic program complianceCoordinate with internal teams supporting the Rideshare appAssist with documenting workflows, policies, and program guidelinesSupport data tracking and outcome reporting (credits issued, usage, impact)Help prepare materials for funders and community partnersQualifications (Preferred, Not Required)Interest in nonprofit programs, transportation equity, or social servicesExperience with program coordination, operations, or case management a plusStrong organizational and communication skillsComfortable handling sensitive participant informationTech-comfortable and able to learn new systemsDependable, detail-oriented, and mission-drivenWhat We OfferHands-on experience with an innovative social impact transportation programOpportunity to contribute to a program supporting families in crisisFlexible, remote volunteer scheduleProfessional references and documentation of servicePotential transition to a paid role as funding allowsAdditional NotesVolunteers may be required to sign a confidentiality agreement due to participant data
