Sales Manager

Role OverviewThe General Sales Manager (GSM) is responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring the sales team to achieve company growth goals while maintaining operational excellence within the sales department. This role bridges strategic vision and execution by creating scalable systems, driving accountability, and ensuring sales processes align with company objectives. The GSM works closely with company leadership to set sales targets, refine strategies, and ensure profitability while fostering a collaborative, positive sales culture.Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new sales representatives.- Mentor and coach team members through one-on-one sessions and improvement plans.- Establish and maintain a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets aligned with company objectives.- Track sales metrics, analyze KPIs, and adjust strategies accordingly.- Collaborate with leadership to refine compensation and incentive programs.- Oversee execution of company lead programs and enforce follow-up standards.- Build and document scalable sales processes.- Ensure effective CRM and tool usage.- Partner with marketing and operations to align efforts.- Provide in-field support during sales appointments and insurance adjuster meetings.- Resolve escalated client concerns.Requirements- 5+ years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably in roofing, construction, or home services.- Strong recruitment, training, and mentoring skills.- In-depth knowledge of insurance restoration and retail sales.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems.- Strong financial acumen with sales-related P&L experience.- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.- Physical ability to perform roof inspections.Results Expected- Achieve company-wide monthly sales revenue targets while maintaining profitability.- Maintain a closing ratio of 35% or higher.- Drive consistent revenue growth with proper markup.- Build and retain a high-performing sales team.- Ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and operations.If this position caught your eye, send us your resume!
