You will be an integral member of the team in operating machinery, manually feeding wood to the line, grading wood for quality, and packaging units all the while maintaining a safe and effective work environment. Upon completion of initial training, successful candidates will have opportunities to grow into machine operator roles.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\n\nProvide relief in operations jobs for breaks, vacations, and other absences.\nSafely operate equipment and maintain good housekeeping (general and equipment) of assigned areas.\nAccurately sort product (various sizes and series).\nActively participate in EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) programs.\nParticipate in improvement projects.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nCompetencies\n\nAccountability and attention to detail\nGood time management and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to read and understand safety rules and regulations.\nDemonstrated mechanical ability.\nWilling to be cross trained to perform various operations positions\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\n\nNone\n\nWork Environment\n\nIndoors and outdoors; Inclement weather (heat temperature- High temps between 90-100+ degrees.\n\nDepends on time of year, rain and wind\n\nDust, Noise- Decibels can average around 90 dBA and reach peaks up to 115 dBA\n\nChemicals- Spray paint, ink, resin, and resin additives\n\nLikely to involve shift work\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nConstantly- Standing, walking, reaching, pushing or pulling, repetitive motion- hand/wrist.
