This role is ideal for someone looking to start or build a career in manufacturing. In this position, you will work hands-on with steel and aluminum products, supporting grinding and machine operations in a fast-paced production environment.\r\nResponsibilities:\r\nPerform continuous metal grinding throughout the shift (primary responsibility)\r\nOperate PLC-controlled equipment using push buttons and HMIs\r\nGrind and polish steel and aluminum sheets, plates, and coils\r\nAssist with coil processing (slitting, buffing, polishing, cut-to-length)\r\nInspect materials using tape measures, calipers, and basic tools\r\nMove materials using forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided)\r\nPackage and prepare finished materials for shipment\r\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment\r\nAdhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely\r\nRequirements:\r\nEntry-level – 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred\r\nAbility to read instructions and use a tape measure\r\nBasic math and problem-solving skills\r\nComfortable using or learning basic computer systems\r\nReliable, motivated, and able to work independently\r\nWillingness to learn equipment like forklifts and cranes\r\nStrong attention to detail and safety\r\nPhysical ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs.\r\nAbility to work for extended periods while standing, bending, reaching, using arms and hands, lifting\r\nSchedule:\r\n2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM\r\nOvertime as needed\r\nCompensation:\r\n$20.00 per hour\r\nBenefits:\r\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\r\n401(k), Retirement Plan\r\nPaid Holidays\r\nBereavement Leave\r\nPersonal Advancement\r\nJob Type:\r\nFull-Time | Temp – to - Hire\r\nApplication Period:\r\nThis position will remain open until filled\r\nEmployer Information\r\nThis position is being recruited by NCW on behalf of a client company.
