A Project Manager acts for senior management in the overall planning, directing, and controlling of contract activities.\nThe principal objective is to achieve first-class performance at all levels—for the company and the customer. The Project Manager is the company’s primary link to the customer and operates with commercial and technical authority relative to assigned projects.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n• Create short and long-term plans, address issues, maintain proper communication, and adhere to internal and external deadlines.\n• Develop and maintain an effective relationship with the customer.\n• Generate a project schedule and maintain and communicate the schedule to the customer and project team.\n• Perform quality control practices on the project throughout development to maintain the company and customer standards\n• Provide ongoing assessments of contract status, risks, and financial management.\n• Coordinate and direct all required departmental participation.\n• Maintain internal and external commercial documentation.\n• Monitor and project contract costs.\n• Assure compliance with contract specifications.\n• Interface with company management and technical groups, vendors, and the customer on a frequency appropriate with the status of the tasks at hand.\n• Identify, document, and report problems or potential problems that could impact the contract and/or company.\n• Guide problem-solving activities.\n• Address changes or additions to a project based on customer requests\n\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:\nA combination of education and demonstrated experience that would indicate the prerequisite commercial, technical and managerial aptitudes for successful performance is required. Knowledge of and familiarity with the operating principles of engineering, purchasing, and construction is essential. Exposure to international sales and contract activity would be helpful. A minimum of three years of experience is required.\nA B.S. degree in an engineering discipline is desired but is not essential.
