This is a high-impact, highly visible role where you’ll operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, driving strategic sourcing decisions across software, cloud, contingent workforce, and emerging AI solutions.What You’ll DoDevelop and execute multi-year category strategies across technology, software, contingent workforce, and AI solutionsLead end-to-end sourcing initiatives (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs), negotiations, and commercial structuring for complex technology dealsPartner closely with IT and business leaders to align sourcing with technology roadmaps, platform strategies, and AI adoptionDrive value optimisation, balancing cost, innovation, scalability, and risk in all technology investmentsDeliver robust spend analysis, supplier benchmarking, and market insights to inform strategic decisionsManage and optimise software licensing models and cloud consumption frameworksEstablish and lead supplier governance, including performance management, SLAs, and quarterly reviewsInfluence senior stakeholders, challenging demand and shaping requirements to ensure commercial disciplineSupport the responsible adoption of AI technologies across the organisationStrengthen procurement maturity by introducing structured processes, frameworks, and governance in a fast-paced environmentTranslate complex technical and financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiencesWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience in technology category management or IT procurement within a services-led organisationStrong track record of delivering complex sourcing initiatives and measurable business outcomesExperience across key areas such as:Software and SaaSCloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)IT services and outsourced solutionsContingent workforce procurementConfidence in influencing senior stakeholders, including at executive or board levelAbility to operate autonomously while navigating complex, matrixed environmentsCommercial expertise in negotiation, contract structuring, and supplier managementStrong analytical capability, including TCO modelling, spend analysis, and financial evaluationExperience balancing speed vs governance, innovation vs control, and cost vs riskExposure to emerging technologies, including AI, is highly desirableProfessional procurement qualifications (e.g., CIPS) are advantageousWhy Join UsPlay a key role in shaping an evolving and high-growth technology and AI procurement landscapeOpportunity to build and influence an untapped IT supply chain with real strategic ownershipWork in a purpose-driven, globally recognised organisation with a strong culture and valuesHigh visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and enterprise decision-makingBe part of a team driving transformation, innovation, and continuous improvementFully remote-first working model with flexibility and strong work-life balanceAt CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position: Expected salary range: US $120,000–$145,000 per year. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, location and other factors relevant to the position.
