SQL Developer

DataSoft Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced SQL Developer — Integration to support database development, data integration, and Microsoft-based systems integration initiatives for a major client program. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL development experience, a background in relational database design, and hands-on experience building scalable integrations between enterprise systems, applications, APIs, and SQL-based environments.This role will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL database solutions while supporting ETL processes, system-to-system integrations, data modeling, and performance tuning.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.Design and support database structures, schemas, and data models for new and existing applications.Build and maintain integrations between business systems, SQL databases, applications, and external platforms.Support ETL processes, data integration efforts, and reporting-related database needs.Troubleshoot database performance issues, query bottlenecks, and integration-related errors.Collaborate with business analysts, application developers, stakeholders, and technical teams to understand data and integration requirements.Ensure database solutions meet performance, scalability, data integrity, security, and compliance standards.Document data models, database changes, technical specifications, and integration processes.Stay current with SQL development best practices, Microsoft data technologies, and emerging database tools.Required ExperienceMinimum of eight (8) years of professional experience as a SQL Developer, Database Developer, or similar role.Advanced proficiency with SQL development, including complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and performance tuning.Strong background working with relational database management systems.Experience with query optimization, indexing strategies, troubleshooting, and database performance improvement.Experience supporting ETL processes, data warehousing, reporting tools, and data integration initiatives.Skilled with building system-to-system and system-to-SQL integrations using the Microsoft technology stack, including SSIS, .NET for custom API integrations, Azure Data Factory, and related tools.Working knowledge of data modeling and data architecture using Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Dataverse.Experience with object-oriented programming, including C#, is preferred.Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, schema design, and database documentation best practices.Familiarity with version control systems.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear business terms.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.About DataSoft TechnologiesDataSoft Technologies, Inc. is a professional staffing and consulting firm supporting clients across engineering, technology, federal, commercial, and enterprise environments.
