We are a global company headquartered in New York, with offices in Chicago, London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.\n\nOverview:\nPico is currently seeking Design and Implementation engineering candidates to deliver best in class low latency connectivity solutions for Pico's clients and internal infrastructure projects in line with Pico's standards and strategic framework. Playing a key role in working with other teams within the business, the Network Implementation Engineer will be a proactive, solutions-oriented engineer with highly developed organization and attention to detail skills. This individual will be responsible for working with our Service Operations (NOC) Team to ensure that all escalations are dealt with in a timely and effective manner, transferring knowledge and building skills among Service Operations Team.\nResponsibilities and duties (include but not limited to)\nDesign, deploy, and escalate problem resolution, for a large service provider network infrastructure\nPerform daily checkouts of the environment and following any changes\nConstruct valid configurations for implementation based upon design and/or technical concepts\nSupport deployment and maintenance of Firewalls, network switches, routers, and other network appliances\nApplication of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes Perform peer review of configurations scheduled for deployment\nPerform network infrastructure changes in a diligent and professional manner Participate in on-call rotation for support escalations\nTroubleshoot internal and external customer issues related to changes Participate in daily meetings to review changes and under lying impacts\nWork with network engineering team to design new client specific connectivity solutions Provide mentoring and guidance to other team members when required\nEducation, Skills and background (incl. Education and Experience Requirements)\n10-14 years' experience deploying and supporting Firewall and Network equipment in a service provider environment or a large-scale Enterprise network\nExperience with Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Arista, and Nexus hardware and software\nStrong knowledge of IPSec VPN, NAT and managing firewall policy\nHighly proficient in routing protocols: BGP\nKnowledge of TCP, UDP and upper layer protocols\nMulticast experience will be preferred\nExperience with cross-connectivity to high-speed, ultra-low latency financial markets and venues\nFamiliarity with Ansible, Linux, Python\nAbility to analyze and diagnose problems and effectively lead to system recovery Clear verbal and written communicator\nDiligent and highly detail orientated\nSelf-motivated and capable of prioritizing and managing own workload Capable of working with little supervision\nCreative thinker with out of the box ideas\nKeen to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and help others develop Interested in cutting edge technology\nDriven to develop own skills and knowledge Understanding of JIRA as a ticketing system\n\nWorking Arrangements\nThis is a Remote position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Role holder will be expected to work Tuesday-Saturday. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent.
