This role ensures project requests from Sales and Marketing are prioritized, scheduled, and delivered in support of business performance and team efficiency.Working in close partnership with the design team and a peer scheduler, this role evaluates incoming work, aligns priorities, and helps balance team capacity. Under the direction of the Design Studio Manager, the Studio Design Scheduler ensures projects progress smoothly from intake through completion.Why this role:This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex workflows, partnering with others to solve problems, and playing a central role in how work moves through a creative team. You won’t be working in isolation, but rather as part of a small, collaborative scheduling team with shared ownership over how the studio operates and delivers on its goal of providing our customers with the highest level of design support.Educational requirements:Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, project management, or a related fieldEquivalent experience in scheduling, traffic coordination, or project management may be consideredExperience requirements:1-3 years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, or a related roleExperience working in a creative, design, or production environment preferredSkills needed: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyClear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal (English proficiency required)Sound judgment in prioritization and decision-making within a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with the ability to review work for completeness and accuracyCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a small team and cross-functional environmentProactive problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to shifting prioritiesComfort navigating ambiguity and making informed decisions with available informationAbility to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, high-demand, fast-paced environmentExperience with workflow or project management tools (Salesforce or similar platforms) requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel)Familiarity with design tools (AutoCAD, CET, Adobe Creative Suite) preferredExperience reading and interpreting architectural plans and construction documents preferredKey responsibilities:Review and assess incoming project requests to confirm scope, completeness, and required deliverablesAssign and schedule work based on team capacity, deadlines, and project prioritiesPartner closely with scheduling team to align on workload distribution, scheduling decisions, and evolving prioritiesCollaborate with designers and Lead Studio Designers to maintain balanced workflows and ensure efficient resource utilizationCommunicate clearly with internal stakeholders on project status, timelines, and expectationsEnsure timely acknowledgment and assignment of all requests, including setting and managing turnaround expectationsIdentify gaps in project scope and work with stakeholders to resolve before schedulingMaintain visibility into active and upcoming work to proactively flag risks, bottlenecks, or capacity challengesSupport coordination across cross-functional teams, including Product Development, for projects requiring customizationMaintain scheduling tools, team calendars, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and transparencyOccasionally support basic project-related tasks (e.g., simple layouts and estimating) as neededWork environment & expectations:Predominantly open office environment with moderate exposure to manufacturing areasFast-paced, collaborative studio with multiple concurrent deadlinesOccasional travel between Atlanta and LaGrange locations (approximately 2 days per month)Hybrid work schedule: minimum 3 days per week in office (Atlanta or LaGrange), with flexibility for remote work 2 days per week3 - Associate / Professional / Individual Contributor / Team LeadLearn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
