Our mission is to leverage AI towards addressing deep and meaningful problems at the core of the human experience: empowering people towards their goals, augmenting our cognition and emotional wellness, and understanding ourselves and each other. Our path forward is to move away from AI that captures human knowledge towards AI that truly understands what it is to be human. We are generating the richest multimodal dataset ever collected to build a new class of foundation models, and we're seeking talented people to help us make this ambitious future a reality.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Data Collection Program Lead to help us scale the operation behind this dataset, working closely with the Head of Operations. Our data collection environment moves fast. We’re running real-world recording operations across participants, technicians, hardware, software, facilities, and multiple simultaneous programs. Priorities change, things break, and new requirements come in constantly. This role is for someone who runs toward chaos rather than away from it. You’ll own programs from planning through execution, keep teams aligned, identify problems before they become blockers, and build the operational systems that allow us to scale quickly without sacrificing quality. This is an operations role first. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable being in the weeds, making decisions with imperfect information, and doing whatever is needed to keep things moving. What You’ll DoRun data collection programs end-to-end: Turn high-level data goals into concrete plans covering timelines, staffing, equipment, participant capacity, facilities, and execution.Drive execution: Keep programs on track, identify blockers, chase owners, escalate issues, and make sure things actually get done.Manage constantly changing priorities: Quickly re-plan when requirements, timelines, capacity, or constraints change.Coordinate across teams: Work closely with Data Collection, Engineering, AI, Science, Research Infrastructure, and leadership to turn requirements into execution.Partner closely with the Head of Operations: Help set priorities, create key performance metrics, solve operational problems, build scalable systems, and continuously improve how the organization runs.Own operational details: Build and manage schedules, staffing plans, capacity plans, equipment needs, workflows, and program trackers.Build the operating system: Create SOPs, processes, dashboards, checklists, and other systems that make the operation more reliable and scalable.Monitor performance: Track throughput, capacity, utilization, quality, staffing, equipment, and progress against program goals.Fix recurring problems: Identify sources of wasted time, operational failures, confusion, and poor-quality data, then drive the underlying fix.Launch new programs quickly: Take new modalities, hardware, protocols, or collection requirements from concept to a functioning operation.Keep everyone informed: Establish clear communication around priorities, changes, blockers, decisions, and ownership.Jump into the weeds: When something is broken, understand what’s actually happening and help fix it. You won’t be managing from a distance. What We’re Looking For2+ years of experience in operations, program management, or another highly execution-oriented role.Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities change quickly and processes are still being built.Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to manage a large number of moving pieces simultaneously.Strong operational judgment. You know when to make a decision, when to investigate further, and when to escalate.High ownership and urgency. You don’t wait around for someone else to solve a problem.Comfortable operating with ambiguity and incomplete information.Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams.Willingness to get into the details rather than operating purely at a strategic level.A bias toward action and a track record of actually getting things done.Bonus PointsExperience scaling physical operations, field operations, logistics, production, manufacturing, or other complex operational environments.Experience with hardware or technical operations.Experience managing high-volume scheduling, staffing, or capacity planning.Experience building operational processes from scratch.Startup experience, especially in an environment where you had to build the plane while flying it.Who You AreYou’re the person people call when something is messy and needs to get fixed. You can take a vague goal, break it into a plan, get the right people moving, and adapt when reality inevitably changes. You’re comfortable with urgency, ambiguity, and a high volume of moving pieces.Compensation$99,000–$125,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.Comprehensive, high-quality health, dental, and vision insurance with premiums fully covered.A renovated, light-filled office with a quirky layout and full kitchen in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District, surrounded by world-class food and coffee.Bi-monthly team dinners and outings, plus twice-yearly off-sites and retreats.Fully stocked kitchen (snacks!) and a dedicated meal budget.Sponsorship for travel to relevant conferences and regular professional development activities to help you level up.A minimum of 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave with a “soft-landing” transition back.Paid time off (PTO)","company":"Stealth Startup","rawCompany":"stealth startup","city":"Millbrae","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-09-14T07:58:09.740Z","occupations":[{"code":"13-1082.00","title":"Project Management Specialists","slug":"project-management-specialists"},{"code":"11-1021.00","title":"General and Operations Managers","slug":"general-and-operations-managers"},{"code":"11-9151.00","title":"Social and Community Service Managers","slug":"social-and-community-service-managers"}],"industries":[{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Data Collection Program Lead","description":"About UsConstellation is creating the AI-human translation layer that ensures humanity evolves alongside our technology.
