Remote Attorney

Scott & Associates, P.C., is a well-established multi-state legal recoveries law firm seeking a motivated Attorney to join us working remotely in support of our Texas-based corporate office. Since our inception in May 2000, we've evolved into a significant player in debt recovery litigation, providing comprehensive solutions for major banks and creditors. This position is a salary plus commission-eligible opportunity with no billable hour requirement. Commissions are based on attorney-negotiated settlements. Must be licensed and in good standing with the State of Texas. Salary is dependent upon qualifications. Although this position is primarily work from home, travel to court and occasional travel for training is required. The firm reimburses mileage and other travel-related expenses. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and familiarity with courtroom and civil procedures. General comfort with technology and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. The candidate must be able to work independently and professionally interact with staff, opposing counsel, and the courts. Collection experience is preferred but not required, training is available. Responsibilities Include: Negotiating resolution of pending litigation, motion practice, review and drafting of pleadings/discovery, document execution, and other duties related to a high volume practice. Attorneys are also responsible for attending hearings and trials in their assigned Regional area; the firm reimburses mileage and other travel-related expenses. The perks?
