Shipyard\r\nOverview\r\nIn this role as a docking engineer, the sucessful candidate will work in a small team of Engineers, Docking Supervisors, and hourly technicians.\r\nWork tasks will include the following\r\n\r\nPrimary tasks will include coordinating the material management and readiness of the various Graving Docks and floating assets (Atlas, Sea Shuttle and Holland).\r\nWork closely with facilities personnel to schedule, fund and oversee all aspects of material management of the docking assets.\r\nWork closely with engineering disciplines tasked with technical cognizance to adjudicate material deficiencies and remediation.\r\nWork closely with Docking Engineer to update and revise maintenance, technical manuals and technical drawings.\r\nDraft, track and manage correspondence with external government stakeholders and coordinate response to stakeholder requests.\r\nModify and publish preventative maintenance cards as advised by Docking Engineer, Dock Technicians, and Tech Leads.\r\nEnsure all correspondence comply with reference documents, in particular MIL-STD-1625D and NSTM Chapter 997.\r\nCandidate must have a proven track record in the areas of safety, quality, cost, schedule, process improvement, and communications.\r\nCandidate must be able to promote a positive team environment and be highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.\r\nCandidate must have the ability to interact with all levels of management, the customer, and Human Resources and be able to ensure EEO and OSHA compliance.\r\n\r\nResponsibilities\r\n\r\nProficient with Microsoft Office\r\nInterpersonal skills to work in a fast-paced environment with all levels of the workforce\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\nRequired\r\n\r\nHigh School diplomaor GED\r\nBachelor of Science Degree (or higher) OR 10+ years of experience of experience managing material readiness of facilities or maritime barges and ships.\r\n5+ years of experience managing material readiness of facilities or maritime
