Senior Finance and Accounting Associate

A well-established real estate firm with three business verticals is adding a Senior Associate to its Accounting and Finance team. This newly created role has a broad scope, covering everything from month-end close and FP&A to compliance, contract support, and systems administration. The position will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization and is based in Los Angeles, CA.What's in it for you?You'll get exposure across accounting, FP&A, compliance, and operations at once.The benefits package is strong: 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision coverage, paid family leave, a professional development stipend, and hybrid flexibility.Direct exposure to senior finance leadership.Responsibilities:Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and assist with financial statement reviewsSupport data collection for tax filings and external audits, including 401(k) and workers' compensation auditsAssist with ASC 842 lease accounting and fund administrationProcess and review expense reports and support client billing and invoicingHandle accounts payable disbursements and bank reconciliations for affiliated entitiesManage jurisdictional registrations and compliance filingsServe as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the company's ERP systemAssist with contract reviews in coordination with legal and finance teamsSupport RFP submissions and manage new client registration portals and onboarding requirementsSupport quarterly reporting for internal and external stakeholdersAssist with project-level billing, reporting, and financial analysisSupport state and local tax reportingParticipate in firm-wide and finance team meetings and assist with cross-functional coordination and follow-upsContribute to process improvement initiatives and system implementationsAssist with ad-hoc financial and operational projects as neededMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2 years of prior experience in accounting, finance, or professional services preferredAdvanced MS Excel skillsPrior experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intact, Acumatica, SAP)Preferred QualificationsExperience with Deltek VantagepointComfort with learning and implementing new technology and programs, including AI toolsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetInterest in learning and growing within a finance organizationCompensation:Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000**The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening upon hire. Our client ultimately may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future.
