Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are a family-owned heavy equipment construction company looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of diesel equipment. Assignments will take place both in the field and in the shop on equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skids steers, haul trucks, and more. Applicants should have some experience with diesel heavy equipment repair and knowledge of parts and tools. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required to travel to job sites.Heavy Equipment Mechanic Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance including but not limited to equipment inspections, oil and filter changes, pressure washing and greasing equipment Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs Complete shop forms Maintain a clean and safe work areaHeavy Equipment Mechanic Experience And QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED certificate Prior experience with diesel/heavy equipment (2+ years preferred) Welding experience (preferred but not required) Manual dexterity Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Perform basic maintenance and repairs without direct supervisionLicense/Certification:Valid Driver’s License Job Type: Part-time and Full-timeStarting Pay Range: $30-$35 per hour, based on qualifications and experienceBenefits for full-time employees-401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insuranceSchedule:Full time- 8 hour shift, 9:00 am to 5:30 pmAbility to commute/relocate:Placentia, CA 92870: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
