Job Title: Product Development Engineer - Medical deviceLocation: Franklin Lakes, NJ Duration: 12 MonthsSummary:We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to support advanced manufacturing engineering, product design, and process development for new product development (NPD) and product transfer activities within a regulated medical device environment.Key Responsibilities:Define manufacturing strategy for new products and design changesCollaborate with R&D and Engineering on product and assembly developmentPerform DFMA, DFSS, and CAD-based tolerance analysis (ATR)Drive design for manufacturability and assembly improvementsLead pFMEA and risk mitigation activities for assembly processesDevelop and standardize DFMA processes, reviews, and phase gatesIdentify improvement opportunities in existing manufacturing/assembly linesDesign scalable, efficient assembly processes aligned with OEE, CapEx & COGSProvide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teamsReview and update CAD models for manufacturability complianceRequired Qualifications:Strong experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing industriesHands-on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)Strong knowledge of DFMA / DFSS methodologiesExperience in assembly process development and tolerance analysis (ATR)Strong background in pFMEA and manufacturing risk managementExperience in product industrialization and transfer activities
