At Chalfant, we're not just building products—we’re building a better future for our customers, our communities, and our team.\n\nJob Summary/Purpose: To support manufacturing operations by transporting, organizing, and managing materials—from raw inputs to finished goods—while ensuring accurate execution of inventory transactions and alignment between physical and system inventory to support efficient production and warehouse operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities/Duties:\nLoad and unload materials to and from designated storage areas (e.g., racks, shelves) and vehicles (e.g., trucks), ensuring materials are handled safely and without damage.\nShrink wrap and band materials to prevent shifting or damage during transport.\nMaintain the flow of finished materials to designated shipping or storage areas.\nStage materials for cutting, punching, bending, and welding operations based on production schedules/work orders.\nMark all parts with proper identification, including packing lists and bills of lading.\nCreate and attach identifying tags and labels to materials as required.\nPrint and manage all required paperwork for shipping and receiving.\nVisually inspect and count all incoming and outgoing materials.\nVerify items and quantities against shipping and receiving documents.\nReceive and track materials using the ERP system.\nEnsure accurate data entry and inventory updates.\nExecute BIN transfers in ERP system, ensuring accurate movement of materials between locations in both system and physical warehouse.\nMaintain accurate inventory locations (BINs) and ensure all material movements are reflected in the system in real time.\nVerify system vs. physical inventory before and after material movements.\nSupport and perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and report inventory variances.\nEnsure all materials are stored in correct, assigned BIN locations following standard procedures.\nFollow FIFO and material flow requirements where applicable.\nIdentify and report inventory discrepancies, incorrect locations, or system issues to supervision.\nRequired Qualifications/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n1-2 year of experience in warehouse operations and material handling or shipping/receiving\nExperience with operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment\n\nPreferred Qualification:\nForklift Certification\n\nCompetencies/Skills:\nAbility to execute ERP transactions (material movements, BIN transfers, receiving, shipping)\nUnderstanding of warehouse location systems and BIN structures.\nStrong data accuracy and inventory control mindset.\nAbility to reconcile physical vs system inventory discrepancies.\nBasic understanding of inventory processes (cycle counts, FIFO, stock accuracy.\nAbility to execute ERP transactions (material movements, BIN transfers, receiving, shipping).\nTechnology and Equipment:\nBasic computer skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage).\nAbility to perform inventory transactions, including BIN transfers, in ERP systems.\nFamiliarity with warehouse location systems and inventory tracking tools.\nExperience with or ability to learn RF scanners.\nWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements:\nAbility to lift at least 50 lbs regularly\nComfortable standing, bending, and moving for extended periods\nSeasonal changes in temperature\nPersonal Protective Equipment is required\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement: We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
