The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical oversight, perform and review high-complexity testing, support laboratory quality systems, and partner with Laboratory Directors and client leadership teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.\n\nThis position is ideal for a laboratory professional who enjoys a mix of bench work, quality oversight, troubleshooting, consulting, and laboratory leadership.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nTechnical Oversight:\nServe as Technical Supervisor and Technical Consultant for assigned laboratories\nEstablish, verify, and monitor test methods and performance characteristics\nOversee quality control, quality assessment, proficiency testing, and corrective action programs\nInvestigate and resolve technical issues affecting test performance and result integrity\nEnsure laboratory testing systems consistently meet CLIA and accreditation requirements\nProvide technical guidance and consultation to laboratory personnel and leadership\nLaboratory Operations + Leadership Support daily laboratory operations across multiple client sites\nMonitor workflow, turnaround times, staffing needs, and operational performance\nPartner with Laboratory Directors and site leadership to identify process improvements\nAssist with inventory management, supply coordination, and operational problem-solving\nSupport laboratory start-ups, test launches, validations, and implementation projects\nTesting & Data Review Perform high-complexity testing utilizing LC/MS, EIA, and related laboratory platforms\nReview analytical data, instrument performance, calibrations, and quality metrics\nVerify and release laboratory results in accordance with established procedures\nEnsure proper specimen handling, testing documentation, and regulatory compliance\nMaintain instrument maintenance, calibration, and quality records\nQuality & Compliance Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations\nOversee personnel training, competency assessments, and ongoing technical development\nEnsure SOPs, policies, and laboratory documentation remain current and compliant\nParticipate in inspections, audits, proficiency testing reviews, and accreditation activities\nPromote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement\nWhat You'll Bring: Candidates must meet CLIA requirements for a High-Complexity Technical Supervisor with one of the following: Doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science and at least 1 year of high-complexity laboratory experience\nMaster's degree and at least 2 years of high-complexity laboratory experience\nBachelor's degree and at least 4 years of high-complexity laboratory experience\n\nActive California CLS License\nExperience working in high-complexity clinical laboratory environments\nStrong understanding of CLIA regulations and laboratory quality systems\nExperience with LC/MS instrumentation and data review preferred\nExperience supporting inspections, validations, proficiency testing, and quality programs\nAbility to travel between client laboratory sites as needed\nStrong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities\nExperience supporting multiple laboratory locations or client sites\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills\nStrong organizational and project management capabilities\nAbility to thrive in fast-paced, highly regulated laboratory environments\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality\nWhy Join Lighthouse?
