We want you to apply now.\nWhat you will do in this role:\n\nPerform vascular ultrasonic procedures as directed by physicians.\nPerforms non-invasive hemodynamic evaluations and writes test results.\nExplaining procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results.\nPositioning patients and selecting the appropriate transducer\nConducting scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment by moving scanner over specified body area and adjusting equipment to focus\nPerforms exams properly and in a timely manner\nTakes patient history and retrieves previous files\nCoordinates patient flow and checks daily list to ensure all exams are complete\nMaintaining equipment\nMaintain department records, reports and files\nPerform other duties as required\nMust read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures\nPractice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of vascular sonography\nMust have sufficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology pertaining to vascular examinations\nSkill in problem solving\nSkill in organization\nSkill in using basic office equipment, including computer, telephone, photocopier, and fax machine\nAbility to operate ultrasound equipment in vascular lab\nAbility to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively under stress.\nAbility to establish and maintain positive relationships with others.\nAbility to effectively communicate\n\nEXPERIENCE:\nMinimum one-year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer\n\nCERTIFICATION/LICENSE:\n\nMust hold one or more of the following credentials: Registered Vascular Tech, Registered Cardiac Sonographer OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in accordance with state regulation and clinical specialty*.\nCertification through ARDMS OR ARRT is required.\nBenefits\nSt. David's Cardiology, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
