Are you ready to bring fresh, high-quality food to one of San Francisco's most iconic museum cafés?The roleMcCalls Catering & Events is looking for a Day-Time Lead Chef for the Legion Café, located inside the Legion of Honor Museum at Lincoln Park in San Francisco.This is a full-time post. Attendance will be required in line with the business requirements, including at weekends, holidays and in the early mornings as well as evenings, based on rotating scheduling.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will lead day-to-day kitchen operations and help deliver a smooth, high-quality food service. Your duties will include:Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation, and portion controlPreparing dishes to set standards and service requirementsManaging stock levels, deliveries, storage, rotation, and waste recordsSupporting stock audits and clear shift handoversDeveloping menus with a focus on quality, service standards, and profitabilityLeading chefs and stewards in a collaborative, efficient kitchenSupporting café catering services when requiredKeeping equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and surfaces clean and safeFollowing Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, OSHA, and company proceduresValid California Food Handlers Card & Manager ServeSafe CertifiedConstant standing and walkingFrequent lifting/pushing/pulling objects & occasionally lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 50 lbs, rarely lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 100 lbs (with assistance).About our companyMcCalls Catering & Events is known for fabulous cuisine, innovative event planning and design, and flawless execution at its Events and Café Operations.
