From the engineers who design large-scale production systems and cutting-edge quality assurance tools to the hands-on associates who manage our massive inventory flow, they make up a diverse group of behind-the-scenes team members dedicated to the success of our organization.Key ResponsibilitiesJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage multiple supervisors and is fully responsible for the processing and auditing of department’s efficiencies at the expected level of productivity and quality identified for one or more areas within the departmentResponsibilities include resolving escalated process issues with manager/supervisors, process changes, and reporting to Senior Level management as neededResponsible for managing and directing the day to day operations of a Manufacturing and Warehouse operationProvide overall direction of lower level managers/supervisors in support of departmental objectivesCreate standard work procedures, prepares production schedules, and optimize workflowInspire a highly-engaged culture based on treating all employees with dignity and respectCollaborate with department managers in knowledge sharing, problem solving, and providing positive leadership within assigned functional areasCollaborate with the manufacturing engineering, packaging engineering and IT teams on refining processes for new product introduction and identification of early failure trends in new productsDevelop and manage quality assurance and cycle count program(s) designed to ensure continuous process improvementAssign and oversee projects dedicated to auditing and assess processes and procedures to ensure effectivenessDetermine performance measurement systems to enhance objectivity and the integrity of performance data and evaluationsDevelop and implement ongoing training programs to support the launch of new products and processesRecommend new and/or enhancements to existing processes and proceduresDevelop and maintain shipping procedures and efficiencies, inventory maintenance and accuracy, receiving and order shipments Provide accurate and sufficient data for the evaluation of production efficiencies, return authorization procedures, and determining trendsProvide direct interface to all other departments of the corporation’s group of companies regarding any operational issuesResponsible for high levels of employee engagement, operational performance, safety compliance, quality compliance, shift efficiencies, and collaboration with other departmentsThis list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position and other duties may be assignedThis position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of a manufacturing shift/group. Also, directly supervises supervisory and non-supervisory employees involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training coaching and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, termination, and disciplinary action.Skills, Experience And RequirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of five years of leadership experience in operations management in a medium-to-high volume manufacturing/distribution environmentExperience with WMS/ ERP Systems preferredSkills And QualificationsAbility to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of manufacturing staffCompetencies include excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skillsFlexible, innovative and the ability to manage staff, responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environmentProven ability to develop team members professionally and instill a high-quality culture Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate supervisors and managers to obtain results through others Proven ability to develop team members professionally and instill a high-quality cultureDemonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving/resolution skills and a team focusAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and OutlookStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principlesAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and non-technical instructionsPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
