The software engineer intern will be responsible for researching and documenting architecture, developing code and submitting pull requests, and testing and validating the solution. The software engineer intern will attend daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews where they will get the opportunity to demonstrate to leadership what they have built.\n\nWhile this position is just for the summer, interns who demonstrate they are a good fit for the Sherpa 6 culture will be invited to stay on the project in a part‑time capacity while they continue their studies. Any intern that receives this invite will not be required to interview for a full‑time position, and is eligible to receive a job offer upon graduation.\n\nThe Software Engineer Intern will work on a scrum team of peers and be led by technical leads at Sherpa 6. Day‑to‑day activities will involve attending daily stand‑ups, writing code, creating pull requests, testing, reviewing UX/UI designs, participating in architecture discussions, and most importantly - having a willingness to learn!\n\nRequirements\n\nStarting Junior or Senior year of college after summer break\n\nEnrolled in a 4‑year Computer Science program or equivalent\n\nFamiliar with REST API design / development in any programming language\n\nFamiliar with front‑end SPA web development in any framework\n\nStrong understanding of Object‑Oriented Principles\n\nExperience with Git\n\nStrong attention to detail\n\nExceptional Candidates Will Have\n\nExperience in Angular\n\nExperience in Golang\n\nExperience using Docker containers\n\nExperience using Jira and BitBucket\n\nAbout Sherpa 6\nAt Sherpa 6 we love to solve problems and provide the best solutions for our customers.
