Duties will include inspecting tooling for die cast as well as inspecting production machining of aluminum parts. First article inspections and generating reports are included in this position. This position involves checking parts to CAD models as well as blueprints.\nResponsibilities:\nSet up parts on the CMM using blueprints and cad models.\nProgram the CMM\nOperate CMM in manual mode and check simple parts.\nPrint reports and save reports to the correct file locations.\nInspect fixtures.\nCheck for conformance to models and prints and communicate any issues.\nComplete calibrations of tooling\nWork with engineering and programming teams to troubleshoot parts.\nCheck and verify machined component dimensions using measuring devices to blueprints.\nCommunicate effectively with machinist, operators, and management to maintain acceptable quality standards.\nMaintain and generate all required quality documentation.\nFAI’s\nSkills required:\nTechnical Aptitude and General knowledge of machining and quality requirements related to the tool and die industry.\nMinimum 2 years’ experience programming CMM’s\nBrown & Sharpe CMM using PC DMIS preferred.\nUnderstanding of Aerospace Quality Requirements\nExcellent Computer skills.\nMicrosoft Excel\nGD&T\nPay based on experience.\nEducation Requirements:\n2-year technical degree/and or 2 years shop floor machining using a CMM.\nAbout us:\nWe are ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) certified, therefore all applicants must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.\n· We have a clean, organized, climate controlled, well lit shop\n· Patterson Mold and Tool, LLC services the die cast, injection molding, and aerospace industry from small repairs and engineering changes to large complex die builds.
