Assist in purchases of food and related supplies. Assist in plans and procedures. Provide guidance on employee problems, and initiate training programs, safety programs, sanitation program, equipment maintenance, and quality control program. Perform duties as Senior Supervisor in his/her/their absence.\nPrimary Duties\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.\nEnsure that all applicable training takes place for the (Front of House) FOH associates on a weekly, monthly or annual basis as needed.\nRoutinely check foods on serving lines and during meal periods to record temperatures in log, routinely check refrigeration temperatures and dish machine temperature and record in log.\nBefore and after meal periods count and ensure proper handling of cash procedures are followed.\nDaily inspect food preparation and or production.\nSupervise the serving lines during all meal periods\nAdditional Responsibilities\nInform Unit Manager of any maintenance repairs.\nPost daily menus for the current/next day meals and post forecast.\nPerform daily facility inspections and forward reports of deficiencies to the Unit Manager.\nPerform pre-service meeting with FOH Associates.\nPerform personnel hygiene inspections on an unannounced inspection schedule\nPerform inventories on all supplies and equipment as required\nPerform quality control inspections in all areas of the contract\nSchedule and staff personnel to workstations. Adhere to all local, state and federal safety and environmental codes, ordinances, standards and laws. Adhere to all Network and /or Affiliate safety plans, policies, practices and standards.\nBe aware of and follow all safety rules of your work site. Report all unsafe conditions or accidents to your supervisor. Practice standard precautions (formerly universal precautions) at all times.\nPerform other responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)\nHigh school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.\nSome college preferred.\nFive years experience in managing a cafeteria or multi-full food service facility preferred.\nCurrent certification from an approved sanitation program required.\nServe-Safe Certification required.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nMust be able to pass and maintain a Tier 5 FBI Security Clearance required.\nMust be thoroughly knowledgeable in the following areas: sanitation, conducting training, security, food preparation, customer relations, menu selection, safety and accident prevention, equipment maintenance.\nMust have the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community and environment.\nRequires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.\nBasic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office software.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
